Change of plans for Harrison
There is a change of plans for Columbus (Ohio) Walnut Ridge ATH Malik Harrison when it comes to his upcoming visit schedule.
Columbus (Ohio) Walnut Ridge ATH Malik Harrison had planned to take two more official visits as his recruitment hits the home stretch. Those visits are now off according to Walnut Ridge head football coach Byron Mattox.
"Yes the (additional visits) are cancelled," Mattox told BuckeyeGrove.com.
Harrison was expected to start an official visit to Michigan State tonight and then make a trip to Syracuse next weekend. Those trips will no longer happen.
Harrison was also expected to make a decision on National Signing Day, but that may also be off the table now.With the last two visits being cancelled a quicker decision is now anticipated, though the details are not finalized just yet.
"I'm not sure what Malik's plan is yet," Mattox added. "I will be talking with him about it."
Harrison has made official visits to Indiana, Ohio State, and Wisconsin and is presumed to now be choosing from that trio.
UPDATE (6:22 PM): Harrison has informed BuckeyeGrove.com that he still intends to make an announcement on National Signing Day.
"I cancelled the visits but I'm not announcing tomorrow," Harrison said. "Still Signing Day."
